VMSA students come from all corners of the globe, experiencing the finest Luthier education in the outdoor playground known as Salt Lake City

The school has an average of 25 students. Some are in their teens; others are starting new careers. With an international reputation, the school attracts students from as near as Canada and Mexico, as far away as Singapore and Finland. Many are beginners at woodworking or playing, but all have a great desire to constantly improve as makers.
